Busy week....

I can not believe it is Sunday....already!

A few highlights....

Hallie had her dentist appointment on Monday-no cavities to report, and we were told to expect that she will need braces in 2-3 years...no big surprise, she has my teeth and I think I was 12 when I had mine put on....

Took the girls and Candace (neighbor) to Crystal Palace on Wednesday....they all had fun, it was tiring for me, and to be honest I wanted to leave as soon as I got there...but I held on...4 hours we were there...ugh...my feet and legs were super swollen by the time we got home....last trip for awhile!

Here is a few short clips from their adventure.....

Leah wanted to wander around everywhere....and I am positive she would have left us

The train, if you can remember we took Leah on this on our March break visit, I think she enjoyed it more this time....

Are you surprised as I am to see Hallie on bumper cars....I never thought she would get on, timid little mouse that she is, but I think Candace convinced her.....she had a blast!

And I ended the week with a quiet evening to myself on Friday...Doug took the girls to his uncle's cottage for a BBQ....and can you also believe this is Hallie swimming in a lake....we are all so proud of her and I think this summer has been a real turning point for her, she has done so much and has really come out of her shell....my girl is growing up *wipes tears*

Doug starts school on Tuesday and Hallie on Wednesday...it will be just Leah and I home in the days now.....for a few more months.....big changes coming....

Am I ready?
Can I do this?

Stay tuned....

Meet the new Granny Clampett...

Hallie and Candace were playing dress up grannies tonight....they were hilarious!
I do have longer video, but I really do not feel comfortable posting other people's children on the internet...

Leah enjoying a timbit!

This is the last week Hallie is home on summer vacation, so I am trying to get everything done...school clothes, lunch items, Dr/Dentist appointments....
But I do love September, getting back into routine, the cooler weather...baby is coming soon! I am going to ask to be induced the last week of October, hopefully on a Friday as Doug can not miss too much school, and fingers crossed this baby will not have a long NICU stay and we can come home asap, I really do not want to miss the girls and Halloween!

Wishing you all a great week!

"Lady put down that coffee..."

The pregnancy police.....they are out there and gave me my 1st infraction!

I went into Timmy Ho's the other night to get myself a medium iced coffee...I had to wait for it to be made, so I am standing with some other people who I also assume are waiting for their food.. etc, anyways.. my drink is called, the lady working is older and gives me the 3rd degree..

"did you order the medium iced coffee?"
Yes.
"Is it for you"
Yes.
"caffeine is bad in pregnancy"

Yes, this coming from someone who probably in her day was allowed a glass of brandy every night

I wanted to ask her why if she had her medical degree was she working in Tim Horton's...

I've been ordering iced coffees all summer, and have gotten the stink eye a few times but she is the 1st to comment..

That reminds me of Doug's birthday party, I had a sip of his beer and one guest looked at me as if I had just killed a baby kitten

It really yanks my chain when people criticise what pregnant women eat or drink...I am sure most of us check with our Dr's about our diet...its not like I was buying a carton of cigs and chugging on a bottle of Jack Daniels....

Oh, and just so you all know...I am allowed up to 300mg of caffeine a day...a medium coffee from Tim's has 100mg...

I should have ordered the large...

Walk this way...

Quick update...

It is very hot here, and with having my own bulit in little heater...I am SUFFERING, swollen and SUFFERING...and am acting like a miserable bitch with everyone...they will get over it....

I think the heat is also getting to the kids....Leah fell asleep in her highchair yesterday....

Hallie has moved into the pool

And....drum roll please.....

.

Leah has really finally started walking this week...

Yay Leah! I think the best part of Leah walking is how excited Hallie was/is, she is really proud of her little sister....thos are the mama moments I love!

To cloth or not to cloth...

That is my question of the day...

I cloth diapered Leah for the 1st six months..until she grew out of them and I could not afford to replace them..I bought cheap cloth ones for her, and they leaked everywhere, I am not dealing with leaky diapers this time around..I either purchase good ones or nothing..

See, real quality cloth diapers cost a lot of money..to get a good stash built up (meaning not having to wash every day) would cost about $500...Granted, that's for the expensive ones, AIO..which means that the diapers do not need a waterproof cover, so basically the same as a disposable but not...

Money is going to be really tight come September, and not having to buy diapers every week would be ideal, but getting the money together to buy them is not going to happen..so I am not sure what to do...I can buy a few at a time here and there...but then there is the other problem...

My husband...

He will not use cloth..he will take a cloth one off, but replace it with a disposable...I had to have some on hand for him *loser* Seriously though, its really no different engineering wise...put on baby, velcro close...

So, I am thinking if I am not going to get the support why bother? I was the only one changing Leah so it did not bother me, I used them and washed them..but with Leah still in diapers and a newborn..changing babies will take up a lot of my day...and if Doug will not get on board it might be too much of a hassle..but I really want to try, if not to save money, at least keep a few diapers out of the landfill..

I'll let you know what I decide...

Have a great weekend...it is hot as hell here and I am dying with this heat...next time I get knocked up, I will plan it so that my months 8 & 9 will be sometime in Dec, Jan, Feb or March...

Stumped....

It never really crossed my mind that I could have a boy, a son.....Doug always joked that I killed off all his boy sperm....now it looks like I might have let one through..

So, now I realize if Beebo is indeed a boy, I will need to change the title of my blog, its only fair....that's why I am stumped...

I'm not very creative, so I thought about just "The Mosher Kids"..well, thats taken *damn you*

I do not want something really long, my computer illiterate readers have a hard enough time with what I have now...as I still get the phone calls from the relatives..."whats the address of your computer thingy..again? *sigh*

So, I guess I will mull it over and see what I can come up with...

I've started nesting this week, well in the last few weeks really, but it is coming on strong now..and chasing after a toddler all day leaves very little time to get any real cleaning/organizing done..I am beginning to stress..a lot...plus, being almost 8 months pregnant limits what I can do..bending, lifting..etc

I've got a huge project list, but I hope if I plug at it a little each day I can get some stuff done..I am going to start cooking and freezing end of September, the last thing I want to worry about the 1st few weeks is meals....

If Beebo is a boy, that means I have a shitload of girl stuff I will need to get rid off...there are a few acquaintances that are due with babies..and I am waiting for both my sister in laws to spawn..so maybe they will use the girl stuff....but come on, I can't sit on it forever, lol...

I do have some pics and video to put on, they should be uploaded by tonight...

A few posts ago, I wrote that I no longer wanted to be pregnant...I take that back...I am blessed to be pregnant and all the crap that goes along with it, its worth it...my mom's co worker lost her baby a few weeks before delivery, so heartbreaking...I am thinking of her and her angel *hugs*
