Dear February

If you are the shortest month, why do you feel so long?

I'm over winter! I want spring...NOW!

I want to wear my lighter perfumes....Hanae Mori Butterfly...how I long for you..

I want to plant my herbs and fill my hummingbird feeders

I want to go for walks in the evening

I'm stopping now, this is too depressing

Bow Down...

To the hotness that is my boyfriend Jesse McCartney

I will admit that he looks really young here, but he is almost 22...only 9 years in difference!

I am I too old to have celeb crushes? Probably, its okay to act like a teenage girl once in awhile.. right ladies?

Thought I would use this blog to send out a few updates....

Hallie is doing great in school, she gets lots of stickers on her homework and tests, so I assume that is a good thing! I took her to get her hair cut last Tuesday at a place called Beaners, it is quite the place, where the hell was it when I was a child?? The chairs for the Kiddies to sit in were like those rides you find at the mall, Hallie picked Nemo...I personally would have chosen the motorbike..hehehe! They do all kinds of extras like color braids, beads..etc..not for free though, I'm sure they make all their money in up selling, every little girl wants a pink/purple braid in their hair...except Hallie! She told the stylist.."all I want is a little trim please" OMG!

Leah is growing like crazy....we are almost crawling..which means I have to start picking up stray shit that ends up all over the floor, fun times ahead I'm sure! I told Doug we will need to learn the Heimlich maneuver, but I don't seem to recall Hallie choking on anything??

She is rocking her new shades..

Doug is still Doug...he is gone today on a 4 wheeler rally somewhere...but he is doing great..lots of stuff to do around the house to keep him busy..I try not to bitch at him too much!

As for me...

My rheumatoid arthritis (I was diagnosed with last summer) has the occasional flare ups, but honestly, I have been feeling great (tired, but great) the past few weeks, I'm on a new medication and that seems to help..but when the days are bad..they are really bad..it sucks! So my New Years resolution has been shot..as I've been online shopping like a mad woman..I have recently become a soap and lip balm whore, also purchasing bows and headbands for Leah, I'm tired of people telling me how cute "he is" even when wearing full on pink??? I posted a few weeks back about vitamins, well I can't take them because I am breastfeeding...but I can take narcotic pain drugs..which I might proudly add, that I have not taken any since Jan 25!

That pretty much sums up the Moshers in the past few weeks!

It really chaps my arse when....

  • People do not use their lane indicators when driving...lazy dicks!

  • When you are in a line and the person ahead small talks with the cashier..who fucking cares if you made lasagna last night!

  • In said line up, and item does not scan, when the cashier gets on the phone, you know your screwed!

  • When I check messages on my answering machine...and hear a hang up click..why the hell bother to listen through the "I'm not here, blah, blah" crap if you are not going to leave a message..I want to smack your forehead!

  • Getting excited when looking through the weekly fliers only to go to store for them to tell me "I'm sorry...we do not carry that item" *smack*

  • My cat misses the litter box...its not really that hard Murray...concentrate!

  • I'm eating wasabi peas and I bite into a rotten one..that taste memory sticks for awhile let me tell you.. I once ate a strange piece of hamburger and I could not look at hamburger for over a week *shivers*

  • Women who do not have babies/kids/pregnant giving me advice..this is a shout out to the lady that told me to give my teething baby whiskey..WTF!!!!!

I really could go on for days, that's just the tip of the iceberg...

I have been feeling rather creative lately...I'm looking for a hobby or craft...basically I want to make shit and sell it for money..I might try jewelry or maybe candles, I laid in bed last night thinking I would love to start some sort of homemade organic baby food catering thingy..or maybe just catering in general..I love to cook and bake and this city is full of lazy people..it *could* work...

Speaking of selling, lets talk buying..something I do lots of... and I have a new passion....cold process soaps..they are a beautiful thing and smell so divine. I purchased a few off Etsy

They (usually) do not contain any harsh chemicals such as SLS, which can cause all kinds of problems in infants and children. Most of the ingredients are renewable and enviromentally sustainable..I don't think I will go back to store soap again, I've been using goats milk on Leah and her skin has been so soft and no dry patches at all!

I'll leave you with some soap porn...

I'll review them as I use them..if anyone cares...

I'm not much into Jesus, but I dig his music...

I'm not a religious person, if I did have a religion it would probably be Judaism..However I am very spiritual, and I have my own way of doing things...I lean towards more pagan beliefs, such as power in nature and the changing of the seasons..etc...I could be a Jewish Pagan! Now that I am thinking about it, when I had my past lives examined last year, she told me I may have been a Druid priestess, so that might explain some bizarre behaviors!

Anyhoo, I was recommended the CD Praise Baby by another mama. When she told me it was religious music I was a bit apprehensive and thinking how would I convince Doug to take me to a Christian music store! But since I've been listening to Raffi and Anne Murray's Hippo in my bathtub daily for the last 6 months-maybe it was time for a break, I decided to go out and get the CD and I am so happy that I did!

Yes, it is religious and Jesus and God are mentioned a whole lot, but it has something about it, I think it is because children sing and it is very calming, Leah loves it and I now find myself singing along..will it make me go to church? Not a snowballs chance in hell!

I just want to shout out to Amy if she is reading this, Hallie got her postcard from Australia and she was so happy...you could not have picked out a more perfect card for her, a snake wrapped around Bindi, she loves it, she says it was very thoughtful and sends her thanks!

I did manage a daylight pic of our new tv..please ignore the dust, dirt and clutter..

My secret is out...I watch the Teletubbies!

Confessions and a TV...

This has been going around on some blogs, so I thought I would join in...

Feel free to laugh and make fun of me..

  • I play Webkinz (and take it all very seriously, those 8 year olds can be damn competitive)

  • I love Jesse McCartney

  • When I blog I drink a can of Guinness

  • I enjoy watching Hannah Montana

  • I miss smoking even if it is disgusting

  • I sometimes go a week without shaving my legs (its not really as bad as it sounds)

  • I love broadway music (Phantom, Cats, Mama Mia)

  • I have a strange desire to learn Japanese

  • I would not mind having a job as a libarian

  • I have an insane amount of perfumes...and I'm still buying..

  • I love McDonalds

  • I love recycling and composting, it makes me happy

  • I have been waxing my eyebrows since I was 12
  • I have not missed an episoed of Coronation Street in 5 years (ita on 5x week)

Okay, thats enough sharing...

Hallie is watching High School Musical and it is really annoying, too much singing, I must say that Zac Efron who plays Troy is, like, totally cute- gosh..I feel really pervy for writing that, isn't he like 15?? Hallie has HSM sneakers and they have I *heart* Troy written all over them..hahaha!

I did not get the cupcakes baked for Hallie's Vday party at school today, the teacher had enough candy and high fructose loaded crap already, although I would have liked to see them at school all hyper as if they consumed a mixture of cinnamon hearts and crack!

I recorded Leah enjoying her breakfast this morning, so I'll share it..

I was feeding her mashed bananas, it was a little chunkier than the norm and she was not having it!

I forgot to mention that we purchased a new TV...a 52 inch Sony LCD or something like that...here is a shitty pic of it, but you get the idea:

If you look close enough, you can see me..

I hope everyone has a romantic Vday with your sweetie...

Last time I checked, I had a baby and not a dog...

Every time I talk with my mother its the same old question...

"Is Leah sleeping through the night?"

No.She.Is.Not

Do I look like I sleep through the night, yes, these bags under my eyes are natural

I was chatting with a fellow mama in the pharmacy the other day (lines, sheesh) and she asked me the same question, which I answered and then she asked...

"Have you trained her?"

I really did not know what to say, I have read about sleep training, but it does not go with my parenting style. Leah is a baby, I think at her age I'm here to cater to her needs, not her to mine..there will be lots of time for "training" when she is older. And do not even get me started on crying it out- a method other mama's recommend-anyone who can listen to their baby scream, gag and blow snot in their crib is very tough..I'm not one of those either. That does not mean I am not envious of those that get their babies to sleep through the night, I would love to sleep all night, but its not important to me..the happiness and contentment of my baby is my number one priority!

See how chill she is...Does she look trained to you?

I live with Betty fuckin' Crocker...

Seriously, its like I married the man version of Martha Stewart...

This is what the hubby baked up tonight:

I am already plotting Valentine cupcakes for Hallie to take to school. I found these super cute heart moulds (or is it molds?) at Winners, I think I will have to pick them up tommorow!

I'm off for a slice of cake....
